“I am writing this letter in regards to Rick Deaton with Government Benefits Specialists, LLC and the great working relationship we have had. A few months ago I had received some literature in the mail about Rick's company and the work that they offer. On this literature, it stated that the filing for the VA benefits was FREE.

Now being an individual who has worked in the ALF setting for about 10 years and having great contacts with the VA, I was a little skeptical but was willing to listen since I was new to the Pasco County area. Rick came out to meet with me and diligently answered all the questions that I presented to him. Some he even answered twice! During this time, I felt that Rick would be a great asset to our families and the La Casa Grande team.

Since that first meeting, Rick has held an informational night for our resident's families, during which he was able to schedule numerous personal meetings. He has also met with and assisted countless families in the filling for the VA Aid and Attendance Benefits.

As well as being a great resource for our community, we are also in the process of planning another information meeting and reaching further out to the general public and sharing this great benefit with prospects in my community.

I would highly recommend Rick Deaton's Services to your community and loved ones. Should you have any questions that you would like to ask me, please feel free to contact me at La Casa Grande 727-847-2980.”

“Dear Directors

We have worked with Rick Deaton, Government Benefit Analysts, Inc. LLC, in assisting residents and prospective residents with application to the Veterans Administration for the non-service connected pension program called “Aid and Attendance".

He "does not" charge our facility, the residents or their family members for these services. He also provides seminars to residents and families at your facility at no cost to the facility. We are happy with his personalized service and he has helped many Veterans and their widows in this process. He will meet with them at the facility or in their home, which makes it convenient for the residents and families.

He walks them through the process by qualifying them for the benefits and assists them with every detail of the approval process.

I highly recommend his services to you. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 727 848 4459.”

“Dear Mr. Deaton,

My sister, brother and I, along with the rest of our family, would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude for all your help in behalf of our parents. When we moved our parents into Emeritus we were given your name as a source to help us secure the Aid and Attendance Pension from the VA. The pension was crucial to being able to keep my parents at Emeritus.

The process began the end of October 2012 when you sent the initial list of documents required to file for the pension. All through the process, you kindly guided us and provided the information needed to move the application to approval. After many months of waiting, you suggested contacting the congressman for our parent's district, which we did. We feel this step was instrumental in moving the application ahead. A little over a month after contacting the congressman's office for help, my Dad received a letter stating his pension was 'approved".  In addition, he received a lump sum payment for January to July 2013. From beginning to end, you have been totally supportive and encouraging, especially when the process lasted so long. I am sure that if the family had tried to obtain this pension on our own, it would not be approved today.

Without this pension, my parents would not have been able to stay at Emeritus for much longer. My ability to supplement their income was coming to a close. At their age and health condition, the last thing we wanted to do was to have to move them.  Dad's pension allows them to stay at Emeritus.

Again, on behalf of my parent's entire family of 'thank you so very much" for your guidance and support in helping us get this provision for my Dad's military service.”

“Dear VA Benefits Personnel:

I would like to commend your office and Mr. Rick Deaton for assisting my father, Leo A. Hulewicz, a

WWll Army Infantry veteran who is now living more comfortably in his later years in an assisted living facility in Holiday, Florida. My father, a veteran of Normandy, never talked much about having serving his country between 1942 and 1945, yet did so proudly.

Mr. Deaton also did not talk a great deal, but quickly provided assistance when needed to an American veteran. He politely and efficiently advised and performed humane assistance during a time of need.

America would be an even greater country if there were more servants like Mr. Rick Deaton.

Thanks and Merry Christmas to your staff and office”

Ronald R. Hulewicz, PhD. – Leo's Son

“Dear Rick,

You cannot know how grateful I am for all the help you gave me in obtaining V.A. benefits for my brother, Richard Jones. First of all, if it had not been for your organization and the meeting held art La Casa Grande, I would not have known that he qualified for benefits. Secondly, the guidance and assistance you provided throughout the process was invaluable. I have heard of other people who had to apply multiple times because they were told one form or another was missing. When I was told that I needed to resubmit all of the paperwork, you wrote a letter to the V.A. explaining that they had all of the necessary forms and that the paperwork was complete. That saved a great deal of time and anxiety on my part.

Even though my brother's case took several months to be approved, you did not let me give up hope. You kept in touch and encouraged me to hang in there. I always felt that I had support in this process and had someone to turn to if I had questions. I was thrilled when the approval came through. This money is going to contribute so much to my brother’s well-being and quality of life. Thank you for everything you did.

Your work is truly a service to others. Good luck to you and all your future applicants.”
